Edublog Awards Nominations

It's time for me to announce who I will be nominating for the 2012 Edublog Awards! Last year, I won best student blog!

For best student blog, I nominate GBM Corner by Mark. He deserves to win very much. Mark started his blog late last year, so that he did not have enough time to show how great of a blogger he is by the time of the awards. He has been writing great reviews on games, books, and movies ever since he started his blog. That is why I nominate GBM Corner for best student blog!

For best class blog, I nominate Mrs. Yollis' Classroom Blog. I was in Mrs. Yollis' class in 3rd grade. She made it so that I really liked getting up every morning and going to school. That was because of her blog. If it wasn't for her amazing blogging and teaching skills, I wouldn't be sitting here, doing this post right now! She is the best blogger ever in my opinion. Also, she teaches her students all that she can about blogging. That is why I nominate Mrs. Yollis' Classroom Blog for best class blog!

The Ultimate Blogging Challenge:Round 3

In round one, Jaden and Mark did both of the challenges, so they move on to round two. Ethan did his challenge. Jake did not. They move on to the next round because they won the extra credit 7-4. Here are the challenges:

The 2nd Ultimate Blogging Challenge: Round 1



The teams are Jaden and Mark vs. Jake and Ethan. Both teams will have two challenges. The first is write a post about your favorite sports team. The second is to write a book review. You will have one week to do both challenges. If you do the extra credit, you will get a life. The extra credit is to do as many posts as you can. If you do more than the other team, then you get a life.

The winner of the last Ultimate Blogging Challenge was Jaden and Ethan of Blogging Duo. So far they are in the lead when it comes to who's done the best. I decided that there will be one week to sign up for this Ultimate Blogging Challenge. I am hoping that more people than last time will sign up. Please sign up!

Winner of the 1st Ultimate Blogging Challenge: Blogging Duo



The 1st Ultimate Blogging Challenge has ended. The winner was: Blogging Duo! Blogging Duo was the team of Ethan and Jaden. We won in two rounds. I will now announce how we won:

In the first round, Jake and Mark were eliminated. Then, both teams were eliminated in the second round. Jaden was the only one out of the four people who did the challenge. Despite being eliminated, both people on Blogging Duo did the extra credit which was sign up for the Awesome Blogging Tournament. That means that Blogging Duo wins, and has one life left over.

It is time for the Ultimate Blogging Challenge to start! First thing is first, let's find out the official teams:

About 30 minutes ago, I found out that I am in the voting round for Best Student Blog in the 2011 Edublog Awards! When I first found out that I was nominated by my dad, I was very excited. I didn't know what was coming next though. Later that day, I was nominated by my Blogging Buddy, Ethan! It still was not over! The next day, I was very excited about some news. My friend, Mark, nominated me for Best Student Blog, too! It was an honor just getting nominated!

One More Nomination

When I was nominating blogs I completely forgot about one I want to nominate. As you know, I nominated Ethan for Best Student Blog and Mrs. Yollis' Classroom Blog for Best Class Blog. Now, I am going to nominate a blog for Best New Blog.

For Best New Blog I would like to nominate my friend Mark's blog, GBM Corner. Mark does amazing reviews! He review's books, games, movies, and blogs. I wrote a whole review on his blog in my post: Review: GBM Corner. The most amazing part is he has only had his blog for 6 days!

Review: GBM Corner

My friend Mark recently started a blog with reviews called GBM Corner. I'm guessing you're wondering what GBM stands for. G stands for video games. B stands for books. M stands for movies. They stand for video games, books, and movies because that's what he reviews. I think his blog is amazing. So far, he has only reviewed books.

The books he's reviewed are Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Cabin Fever, Encyclopedia Brown: The Case of Pablo's Nose, and Big Nate on a Roll. I've read Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Cabin Fever and Encyclopedia Brown: The Case of Pablo's Nose. He rates the books with letters. He rated Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Cabin Fever an A-. I would rate it an A. He rated Encyclopedia Brown: The Case of Pablo's Nose an A-. I would rate it a C+. You should go on his blog A.S.A.P.

Here is a book review I wrote for Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Cabin Fever:

The book Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Cabin Fever is the sixth book in the Diary of a Wimpy kid series. Some of the book is about how he wanted to have a holiday bazaar. The newspaper would charge him one thousand dollars for the full page color ad he wanted. Greg (the main character) decides to call his friend Rowley to make their own newspaper. Then, they vandalize the school by putting posters on the walls. Greg goes to the principal's office and has to clean up marks the posters left.

Next, he had to survive being snowed in with his family. First, Manny plays on Greg's favorite game and changes his password. Next, he couldn't watch TV because Manny changed the parental lock. Later he couldn't play video games because his mom loved her new exercise video game. Finally, the snow stopped and the police came. He thought it was for him, but it was for last minute toys for the toy drive.
