New House and New School

This year I moved to a new house and a new school. At first, I was a little sad because now I do not go to the same school as my friends. One of my best friends also moved to a new school so I felt a little better about moving.

I like my new house because there is more space to play outside. We live on a private hill. I am happy that now I have my own pool. After a couple days, we saw a deer in our backyard. Here is a picture:

At my new school, I was a little worried because I only knew a few people. Very quickly, I made a lot of new friends. After a few weeks, I was able to show an even newer student around. I think I was lucky to get Mrs. Yollis as my teacher. I have liked computers since I was 2. Since she teaches about blogging, she was the perfect teacher for me.

Have you ever moved to a new house or started a new school?
How did you feel about moving or starting a new school?
Have you ever had any interesting animals at your house?

Jaden,
I love this post. I was so happy with how easy your transition was to your new school! You have made so many nice, new friends! Wasn't it amazing that we had the deer in our backyard? I love this picture of it. It stayed for quite a while and when it ran off, we actually noticed that there was another deer hiding! I'm very excited to see what other people say about moving, starting a new school and interesting animals they have had at their homes!
Love,
Mom

Dear Jaden,

What a terrific new post about an experience in your life! I like how you used lots of detail sentences to support your thoughts.

The photo of the deer is magnificent! Check out those ears! Later in the year we are going to be reading about some deer who wander into a city! Can you imagine?

I'm glad that you have transitioned so well at our school. I think that is because you are a good person who is kind and polite to others. You are also very helpful and trustworthy. People like those character traits in friends!

How is our school like your last school? How is it different?

Terrific writing!

Your teacher,
Mrs. Y♥llis

Dear Jaden,
I forgot to tell you some of the interesting animals that we had at my house growing up. There were coyotes, deers, rattle snakes and lizards. Sometimes we would even find a duck swimming in our pool from the lake nearby. One time I remember Papa Bob getting an opossum out of our garage. Can you believe that you just made this post and then we had a bird get stuck in our garage when we came home from dinner?
Love,
Mom

Dear Jaden,

What a great post. I think many people will be able to relate to this post.

When I was in primary (elementary) school I went to three schools. I remember how hard it was to get used to a new routine and new people.

You are so right about Mrs Yollis. You are very lucky to have her as a teacher! If I was a student, I would love to be in Mrs Yollis' class! You guys learn so much and have so much fun along the way!

I could not believe that you saw a deer in your backyard! Here in Australia, you would never see a deer in the backyard! Maybe ye would see a possum or, if you lived in the bush, a kangaroo, koala or wombat.

Your mum mentioned she used to see coyotes. I don't think I've ever seen a coyote either.

I have a question for you. Your mum mentioned an opossum. What is that? We have possums here in Australia but I don't know what an opossum is?

The picture of the deer in your backyard is just amazing. You are so lucky to see something like that. I am so happy you and your sister have adjusted so easily to your new school. That can sometimes be very scary. The reason we had the possum in our garage was because we had food in there to feed the cat that was not allowed in the house. Your Aunt and Mom found the cat and I was allergic to it so I would not let them keep it in our house.
The possum was scary looking.

Hi Jaden,

What a FABULOUS post! I am glad we're in the same class and good friends. I enjoyed reading about the deer in your backyard. We once saw a coyote burying a cat in our backyard. My Nana was so scared, she screamed! I wasn't scared at all and I stayed calm. I wish you were there to see it.

Here are some questions for you:
1. When will you launch the next post?
2. How many posts do you want to make this year?
3. Is it hard to have your own blog?
4. Is it fun to have your own blog?

Your friend,
Tucker

I can't beilve that you saw a deer in your back yard! I saw two deer in back yard, they were up my hill. One was fat and one was skinny, and they both had antlers.Do you tink that deer are very cool?

Jaden: I tried to send a comment again today from my office. I am able to read your blog and all of the comments you are receiving but I cannot send a comment. From now on, I will get on your blog from my computer at home because that works.

How are you enjoying having your own blog? What is the best part of having your own blog? I love you. Papa Bob

This is such a great post! Mommy and I could not be happier with the smooth transition you have made to your new school. I started a new school in 9th grade and I remember being very nervous. I knew some kids at the new school which made it easier but I remember being worried anyway.

@ Mom,

Thank you for all your information. I think people learned stuff from it. It was amazing that we had a deer in our backyard. I can not believe right when we got home from dinner, we found a bird in our garage. Do you like nature?

Jaden

@ Mrs. Y♥llis,

Thank you for your terrific comment. We had a lot of pictures of the deer, but this one showed more of the deer than the other ones. I could imagine deer crossing a street. At my old house, there were sheep crossing that almost crossed the street because the gate was cut open.

My old school is like my new school because there is a lower yard for kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade and there is an upper yard for 3rd grade, 4th grade and 5th grade. It is different because on the playgrounds there is different equipment.

Do you like teaching 3rd grade?

Best regards,
Jaden

@ Miss McGeady,

Thank you for your wonderful comment. My sister has gone to four schools in the last two years. I have gone to 4 schools in my entire life and 2 schools in the last 2 years.

I think anyone would be happy to ever have Mrs. Yollis as their teacher because she does a lot more than just teaching regular school stuff.

You said that you saw my mom's blog comment that she used to see coyotes at her house. In my old house, I also saw a coyote. There were lots of them on a hill right near my house.

From what I researched in a dictonary, an opossum is basically the same thing as a possum.

Sincerely,
Jaden★★★

@ Grandma,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. I wish we saw the deer at a different time because we were in the middle of watching football. I never knew you had a cat. When did you get it? Did your dog chase the cat? Why didn't animal patrol come for the opossum? Animal patrol is mean.

Warmly,
Jaden

Dear Jaden,

That deer is so cute! I have rabbits at my house
but I don't have any deer. I do see deer when I go to Malibu Creek Park. Have you seen any rabbits at your house?

@ Tucker,
Thank you for your thoughtful comment. I am glad you liked my post. I'm also happy we are in the same class. I've seen a coyote before, but I've never seen it burying a cat! I wish I was there to see it, too! I am going to publish a new post in the next couple of days. I am hoping to have 10 posts before it is 2011. It is a little hard to have my own blog because I try to always comment back to everyone. It is very fun to have my own blog because it is fun to come up with new post ideas and see people's comments.

@ Nick,
I also saw two deer in my backyard. We could see the whole body of one of the deers, but the other we could only see it's antlers. I do think deers are cool. Do you like deers?

Best Regards,
Jaden

@ Grandpa,

Thank you for your good comment. It is very weird how you can't comment on my blog from your office. Maybe it is because of the wifi you have there. I enjoy having my own blog. My favorite part of having my own blog is making posts. Do you think you would be able to handle having your own blog?

@ Dad,

Thank you for your excellent comment. I am happy I made a good transition too. Isn't 9th grade the first year of high school though? Doesn't everyone start a new school?

Sincerely,
Jaden

@ Miriam,

Thank you for your wonderful comment. The deer are very cute. In my old house, I saw a lot of rabbits in my backyard. I wanted to catch them, but no one else in my family wanted to catch them.
