Student Blogging Challenge: Challenge 2

I joined the Student Blogging Challenge. The Student Blogging Challenge is a great way to meet other bloggers. I did it last year when I was in Mrs. Yollis' class. There are different challenges every week. You choose from around ten different challenges. Also, you can choose as many to do as you want.

This week's challenges focus on the place you live. I'm going to tell about a tourist attraction in California.

A place where you would want to visit if you went to California is Disneyland. Disneyland officially opened on July 18, 1955. There was an event the day before. It was supposed to be invitation only, but because of counterfeit tickets, instead of 11,000 people there was 28,154 people! I've been there many times because my dad works for Disney.

Disneyland is located in Anaheim, California. In 2001, they added California Adventure. That has rides like Monsters Inc. and Toy Story Mania. A couple years ago they added a show called the World of Color. It is where water squirts up and creates pictures from Disney and Pixar movies. That is my favorite show.

If you would like to learn more about Disneyland, follow this link: Wikipedia

Have you ever gone to Disneyland?

If so, what did you do and what was your favorite part?

Jaden,
I took my niece and nephew to Disneyland in 2001 when we were over here for a holiday. They liked the raft ride in California World but this new one sounds exciting.

Hello Jaden,

Disneyland was always a place of dreams for me as a child in the 1950s and 1960s. I remember watching the original Mickey Mouse Club on black and white TV.

To this day, Disneyland stands as a symbol of fun and adventure for families. With Disneyland in California, Paris, Hong Kong and Tokyo plus Disneyworld in Florida, people are much better placed to be able to visit one.

Despite the growing options, Disneyland, Anaheim is still the place of dreams for this grown up kid.

I was at Disneyland in 2002. I am a big fan of Disney World and go there about once a year so when I went to Disneyland I noticed that it seemed much smaller.

Disneyland does have some advantages, many of the rides are better there. You also get to have the Nightmare Before Christmas Haunted Mansion makeover which is up now. Someday I will come back just to visit that attractions.

Dear Jaden,

I remember being at your house when you first published this post. Last time I was in Disneyland I was four years old and with my cousin. We went on a really scary ride, and when we got out we were crying like babies.

Have you ever been on a scary ride?

Sincerely,
Aidan

@ Miss W.

It is very fun to go to Disneyland. I like it most when I stay overnight. My favorite ride is Toy Story Miania. What is your favorite ride?

@ Ross Mannel,

It is funny when you think of the old Mickey Mouse Club compared to today's! Especially, today's has colors and the old one didn't.

It is very interesting that there are more than one Disneylands. One day I hope to go to another. If I chose one I wanted to go to, I would pick the Paris one, but I don't know why.

Sincerely,
Jaden

@ Mr. C,

I used to go to Disneyworld every year. I don't know why we stopped. I think think they made Disneyworld bigger because at first they didn't know if people would like it at all, but when people loved it they made a bigger one.

The Nightmare Before Christmas Haunted Mansion is one of my favorite rides. Last time I went, I didn't go on it because of a very long line. Instead of the ride, I went to the show about Abe Lincoln show.

@ Aidan,

I also remember you being at my house when I published this post. I've been on a scary Indiana Jones one, but I really don't like scary rides. Did you go on the Indiana Jones ride?

@ Robby,

I also love to be a part of the Student Blogging Challenge. It is suprising you've only been part of the blogging community for a few days beecause you have a perfect number of sentences. Do you like blogging, so far? I've been in the blogging community for a year and one month, but I've only had my blog for ten months.

Welcome to the blogging community!

Sincerely,

Jaden

Jaden,
I was in Disneyland once and that was 8 years ago. I loved the Soarin Ride. We live in PA so we visit Disney World more often because it is closer to us. One thing I liked about Disneyland is that I didn't get so exhausted there because it is smaller and the rides are closer which means less walking!

Hi Jaden,

I've been to Disneyland a lot of times. My favorite ride is Space Mountain, because it's really fast and it looks like you are in space. I also like the Tower of Terror, but that's in California Adventure.

You are lucky your dad works there. If my dad worked there, I'd want to go all the time.

I read in the comments that your favorite ride is Toy Story Mania. Is that the one that is 3D and you have to get points by shooting things?

Ethan

@ Will,

I like Disneyworld better because there is way more to do there. I checked out your blog. It is interesting that there was a war for only one night. Have you heard of any other wars that only lasted one night?

@ Mrs. Schmidt,

I think I wasn't at Disneyland until 7 years ago. If that is right I was two. I am way to scared to go on the Soarin Ride. I don't really like roller coasters. Every time I go my feet get tired because I am not used to walking around all day. Did your feet get tired?

@ Jose,

Nice to meet you! Thank you for the nice compliments. I will check out your blog today. How long have you been blogging? I've been blogging for a little over a year.

@ Ethan,

I don't know what Space Mountain is. The only space ride I've ever been on was in Disneyworld. I forgot the name of it, but it makes you feel like you are in a rocket and moving from rocks. Tower of Terror looks really painful, but I've never gone on it.

Toy Story Mania is the one where you have to get points from shooting things. I'm kind of good at it. Another ride that you shoot things on is the Buzz Lightyear ride. That is fun!

Your Friend,
Jaden

Hi Jaden,

I haven't gone to Disneyworld yet. Is it really big? The Tower of Terror is kinda painful. It's scary at the top because the wall opens and you can see most of California Adventure. What is your best score in Toy Story Mania? Mine is above 90,000.
